World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a .NET Developer in our office in Washington, DC. The .NET Developer will develop and support the functionality of internal- and external-facing web-based applications using Microsoft technologies.


Please note: This is a"limited term" position with an end date of June 2018, with the possibility of extension. Due to this status, it is not eligible for visa sponsorship.



  • Develops and supports e-commerce and enterprise-wide business systems.
  • Monitors operations to ensure system and data integrity. Monitors system performance to identify and recommend enhancements.
  • Provides technical expertise and support to the organization and clients.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business with an emphasis in Information Systems.
  • Two to Four years of relevant experience using Microsoft web-based technologies and relational database systems.
  • At least two years of experience with SQL Server or equivalent relational database systems.
  • Experience in end-user support and training.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and constituent relationship management platforms and/or processes is a plus. Microsoft certification a plus.
  • In depth knowledge of and experience with ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net, MVC, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, HTML5, responsive web design and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Experience with development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Test-Driven Development and Requirement Analysis and Testing.
  • Familiarity with XML syntax
  • Experience authoring complex queries
  • Experience with services such as SSRS, SSAS and SSIS
  • Understanding of SDK based development
  • Proficiency with database design methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with code repository systems such as Team Foundation Server
  • Ability to work with customers to identify business requirements and translate into code specifications
  • Ability to plan and meet aggressive deadlines, focus attention to details, and perform with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work with both beginning and advanced level users
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
