    World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Markets Institute Intern.


    The Markets Institute at WWF is a thought leadership platform committed to identifying global issues and emerging trends that affect the most critical threat to our finite planet - the production and consumption of food. Our goal is to increase the speed and scale of solutions that make a more sustainable future possible. We accomplish this by convening science-based, multi-stakeholder groups to build awareness and consensus around urgent issues and trends, and develop approaches to advance innovation and accelerate change at scale. Using multiple lenses to look at global challenges and laterally connect the dots, we empower partners with insights and documented solutions to avoid risk, stay ahead of the curve, and proactively drive change at the speed of life.


    Internship Description:


    This internship provides an opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate-level student to learn more about environmental sustainability by working with a team that is focused on researching and identifying global trends and solutions related to food production and consumption.


    Specific duties will include:

    • Conducting research on a variety of issues and initiatives
    • Data entry and management
    • Contributing to reports and materials
    • Providing logistical support as needed


    Minimum Requirements:

    • Current undergraduate (juniors or seniors preferred) or graduate student
    • Full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time (20 hours per week) for 3-6 months
    • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail
    • Ability to work productively on both independent research assignments and as part of a team
    • Proactive problem-solving and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
    • Familiarity with database research such as Bloomberg terminal is helpful
    • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in a foreign language is a plus

    Unpaid. For all unpaid internships, applicants must be enrolled in school and be able to obtain academic course credit from their university. We are willing to consider a paid internship for exceptional candidates unable to receive academic credit.
