World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Energy Storage Research Intern.
Access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy is crucial for people in Belt and Road countries to achieving many of the Sustainable Development Goals – from poverty eradication via advancements in health, education, water supply and industrialization to mitigating climate change. Renewable energy potentially could be one of the best means to achieving the goals. However, current renewable energy technologies with high cost, unreliable and unstable characteristics are the barriers to be overcome. Low-cost stable energy storage could be the solution to complement the existing renewable energy system. This research is to design an off-grid low-cost energy storage demonstration in selected B&R countries for achieving SDG 7 to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all along B&R.
