World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Program Officer for its WWF Green Climate Fund (GCF) Accredited Entity (AE) team at our Washington, DC office. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and global team responsible for implementing multimillion dollar portfolios of projects assisting developing countries address global climate change issues. The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will focus on WWF GCF AE operations, including relationship management, knowledge management, and portfolio-level project management, project cycle timeline tracking and reporting, and managing multiple internal and external communication fronts. The candidate will also work on the development and tracking of partnership relationships with the Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs).
Under the supervision of a Senior Program Officer, and the Director, and in relation to the GCF AE and MDB partnerships, the Program Officer will research, plan, manage, communicate, and implement program/project priorities, activities and reporting timelines, manage all internal and external communication and tracking websites, assist in the provision of GCF trainings to the WWF Network and other partners, and in the development and planning of country/regional, thematic, or other field projects.
