World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Regenerative Agriculture Impact Investing Manager.
Overview
Impact Investing is a new and emerging approach that deploys investment capital into new business models that create key benefits for people and planet. WWF is launching a new strategy called WWF Impact, where we will seek to make or support investments in companies where we see a business / markets innovation that can drive significant improvements in key priority areas for WWF such as food systems, forestry, oceans and freshwater, among others.
The Regenerative Agriculture Impact Investing Manager will lead WWF-Impact’s investing work in the regenerative agriculture sector. The Manager will identify and lead WWF Impact investments in early-stage startups and growth companies that support innovations essential to achieving multiple conservation goals, including halting deforestation, achieving zero habitat conversion, mitigating GHG emissions, and freezing the footprint of food production. The Manager will evaluate new investment opportunities, lead investment due diligence, negotiate terms, make investment recommendations, monitor and assist portfolio companies post-investment, and make portfolio construction recommendations that drive impact priorities and deliver positive financial returns.
The Manager will focus on investment and partnership opportunities that support regenerative agriculture approaches in key areas, including advanced / sustainable farming, precision agriculture, soil management & improvement, and water management. The Manager will work closely with WWF Goal Teams such as the Food & Freshwater team to align WWF Impact with broader WWF conservation strategies. The Manager will identify trends across agriculture innovations, partner with global industry experts, and clarify which strategies have the potential to achieve impact at scale.
