Overview

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Manager, Benefits and Wellness. 

 

Major Function

Manages WWF-US’s benefits and wellness programs, continually assessing WWF’s programs to ensure market competitiveness and to ensure the programs meet WWF’s needs and are consistent with our overall organizational philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Manages WWF's benefits and wellness programs to ensure they are competitive with the market and meet employee needs. Researches, recommends, and implements changes to existing programs as needed.
  • Serves as a point of contact for benefits related inquiries for WWF-US staff. Ensures a smooth transition for staff into & out of benefit enrollment.
  • Leads the annual online open enrollment process. Prepares, distributes, and communicates benefits information to staff. 
  • Manages the relationship between WWF and third-party benefits brokers and administrators to ensure smooth functioning of benefit programs. 
  • Manages leave of absence (LOA) and the data integrity of benefits data within WWF systems.  Responsible for ensuring that benefit deductions and allowances are accurate. 
  • In collaboration with the HRIS team, makes updates to Benefits configurations in designated system to ensure business processes are accurately designed, tested and functioning. 
  • Responsible for the annual preparation of the benefits budget as well as continual monitoring and re-forecasting throughout the year.
  • Responsible for compliance in the area of benefits including PPACA, FMLA, 403(b), HIPAA, ERISA, and Workers Compensation, filing 5500s and other state and federal benefits laws. 
  • Leads benefits projects and updates benefits related policies as appropriate. Ensures that all benefits related communication and documentation is timely, accurate, and in compliance with the current laws and regulations.
  • Administers WWF’s retirement plans and enrollment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • CEBS & CCP certification is preferred
  • 8 years of experience in benefits program administration, including experience with PPACA, FMLA, 403(b), HIPAA, ERISA, and Workers Compensation and other state and federal benefits laws
  • Excellent customer service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to follow-up and meet deadlines
  • Integrity and the ability to work with confidential information with discretion
  • Strong analytical and research skills
