Overview

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Oceans Market Intern.

 

The internship provides an opportunity for an undergraduate level student to support various projects on the Seafood Markets and Oceans Markets team. They will support the Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) Participant Program and lead the processing of contracts and renewals and support the build out of communications materials. The intern will also support various other private sector engagement projects. S/he will liase with internal and cross functional teams to implement the program.  The intern will have the opportunity to learn about seafood conservation as well as private sector engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting areas of the Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) FIP Participant Program including:
    • Company research
    • Processing FIP Participant contracts and renewals requiring internal and external communications
    • Streamlining processes to support internal systems
    • Contributing to reports and materials
    • Maintaining and updating documents and materials
    • Assist in outreach and communications including:
      • Support creating presentations and videos
      • Support writing blogs/articles/stories
    • Assist with the creation of items and idea building for the FIP Participant Communications strategy

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate senior or recent graduate
  • Part-time (20 hours per week) ~6 months (with possible extension)
  • Database and quantitative analysis skills a must
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), as well as attention to detail
  • Familiarity with developing and creating persuasive communications and or marketing content
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to work productively on both independent assignments and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English is required
