World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world's largest conservation organizations, seeks a Senior Director, Internal Audit & Operational Risk. This position is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the strategic implementation of a comprehensive program of internal audit and operational risk that adds value and improves the operations of the organization by identifying and mitigating risks. The Senior Director is responsible for providing vision and operational guidance to the Internal Audit department in helping ensure WWF’s program and operational risks are identified and mitigated in a timely manner. The Senior Director, Internal Audit & Operational Risk, is responsible for providing the Audit Committee, Board of Directors, and management with ongoing assessments of the organization’s risk management, financial, operational, and compliance processes, practices, and related controls. The Senior Director will also be responsible for overseeing the establishment of a strong grantee audit monitoring program. We prefer that the incumbent be based in Washington, DC but other locations in the United States will be considered.
