Major Function
World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Senior Director, Freshwater & Food Communications. The Senior Director in close collaboration with the Goal Lead and Senior Management Team, will develop and execute short- and long-term external communications strategies that advance Freshwater & Food team conservation objectives, support resource mobilization and link to the broader communications and outreach strategy of the organization. The incumbent will work with the Goal lead and subject matter experts to cocreate and articulate conservation strategies.
Rooted in communications expertise and a deep understanding of conservation issues, the incumbent bridges conservation, communications, and fundraising priorities. Develops and leads on communications strategies/plans that deliver conservation outcomes and raises brand awareness among key stakeholders. Identifies content ideas and opportunities that can be leveraged to reach diverse audiences (e.g., general, policy, corporate, donors, etc.).
The incumbent will be a dynamic, highly competent communications professional able to lead a step-change in how we strategically plan and deliver communications for our Freshwater & Food goals.
