Overview

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Director, Development Systems Partnerships, and Reporting.


Major Function

The Director leads the WWF Development Department’s strategic vision and implementation for systems integration. This role works across departments and teams within the organization – including, but not limited to: Fundraising Operations and Analytics, Information Technology, and Program Operations – serving as an authoritative and leading voice representing the interests, goals, and vision of the Development Department and the organization at large. This position serves as Development’s business owner of WWF’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and provides strategic oversight of system implementation and integration across teams and platforms. The Director serves as the strategic partner for reporting needs, turning data into knowledge, to best inform business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and lead creation of a “knowledge system” for Development via reports, systems enhancements, and organizational partnerships
  • Lead as the senior representative and advocate for Development’s interests on system-related governing committees
  • Establish strong working partnerships with teams across departments
  • Lead the Development Systems support functions and maintain a catalog of system-generated Development reports, providing additions and updates as needed.
  • Drive the evolution of WWF’s Tiered Pipelines and other cross-departmental resource reporting
  • Primary Liaison to Fundraising Operations for smooth operation of gift processing
  • Provide direct and indirect supervision and management of other Development Systems Team positions and employees as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must have at least 10 years of previous advancement services, analytics prospect development, or related experience
  • Demonstrated experience transforming information into knowledge for guiding organizational leadership’s business decision making, including illustrative reporting/data visualization, operational system dashboards and other tools for increasing access to knowledge
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of how systems connect and work together at a granular level, as well as the ability to visualize and assess how systems work holistically across departments
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communication and leadership skills, combined with deep technical knowledge of how systems operate.
  • Experience with a CRM system and/or Grant Management system; working knowledge of Blackbaud CRM preferred
  • Experience overseeing and managing a portfolio of projects
  • Solutions oriented, and innovative in approach
  • Comprehensive understanding of Development/Fundraising practices and processes
  • Strong management skills and ability to oversee a team of information professionals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including effective public speaking and the ability to communicate complex issues both verbally and in written form  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including courtesy, tact, and diplomacy for effectively communicating with all constituents with varied interests across teams and seniority levels
  • Possesses ability to set priorities, manage a multitude of details simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and work effectively independently and within a team environment  
  • Possesses ability to operate with independence, under pressure, and to meet deadlines and commitments on time  
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
